Mitt's Response

Mitt Romney's campaign responded quickly yesterday to the uploading of excerpts from his 1994 debate on Youtube by issuing a press release and uploading a video of its own on Youtube. The video has Mitt calling into the Glenn & Helen Show and responding to the 1994 debate clip by saying he was wrong on some issues back then and asking to be judged by his record as Governor.

I think it is interesting how fast the response was, and that the response was in the same medium and directed at the same audience. I'm not aware of another politician so nimble and techno-savvy as Romney. This certainly should be a pat on the back for his PR team for identifying the problem and finding a solution. Certainly, George Allen and others could have at least lessened the damage had they been as quick and decisive as Romney.

Of course this doesn't answer the bigger question of whether he will be believed, but it shows Romney's political skill.

Additionally, I want to thank you, Marc, for being so current on the latest happenings and posting them here.

I was suprised by the speed of his response too. I think he handled it in the best way possible. George Allen and John Kerry could learn a thing or two from him.

Thanks for the compliment. Probably just means I spend too much time online... at least that's what my wife would say ;)
