What Else Have I Missed?

The latest National Journal rankings have Romney in 2nd place with "No One" in first. I don't think seven months ago he could have asked to be in a better position. There are worse things in a presidential campaign than expectations, as I heard someone recently say.

But reading the rundown of his campaign by National Journal, I realize that I have not been paying attention.

He has a solid claim to No. 2 because of his strength in Iowa and New Hampshire and his solid bank account. But he's not the front-runner because he hasn't demonstrated he can be competitive in a general election yet, either -- message-wise or poll-wise -- based on message or polls. On the surface, he's had a rough month -- Garrity-Gate, stem cells, dog on top of the car -- but the net effect of this isn't that terrible. Basically, the press thinks Romney is the weirdest candidate. The dog-on-the-roof story only adds to the Clark Griswold weirdness.

Dog on top of the car? Where have I been?

Chris Cillizza at the Washington Post ranked Romney #1 in his monthly "line" a few weeks ago. First time Romney hit the top spot there.

Why is it that in today's world anyone with integrity is considered weird? Have you guys heard that new song released by Eric Proffitt called "Raise the Bar",? It reminds us as Americans that "...this is not about religion, black or caucasion, or whether you're a man or a woman, this is all about the nation..."
It invites us to vote for "...the man of integrity..." I don't know about you but as for me, I know exactly who that man is!
you can listen to the song at:
www.ericproffitt.com it's the first one that plays.
