The title of the post almost sounded like a naval term (bu-dum-bum).
I figure most people will gloss over this as Mormon endorsing the Mormon, but I think that with all the other conservative candidates out there, there would still be a reason for one of the elder-statesmen of conservatives to refrain from endorsing a candidate until later on. Hatch, for all of his foibles is as solidly conservative as they come, and should continue to help conservatives' comfort level with Romney.
Hatch's endorsement is certainly one that Romney welcomes and should do nothing but help him.
I'm putting myself on reserve blogging status for the next while by the way :P With finals on the horizon and a slew of commitments, I can't justify the time I've spent on it recently. Posting this openly will help strengthen my will (or so I hope) ;)
Marc, thanks for doing such a great job around here. I hope the hiatus isn't permanent.
I'd be happier if it was the Hatch of a decade ago endorsing him - you know, the one not approaching senility.
